So two days ago I went to the first day of sales in the Bershka stores in Portal del Angel, Barcelona and that´s what I witnessed.

From Better living through design

So I have been been quietly talking about going back to dancing for a while, but it hasn´t yet left the paper. I recently applied for a dance film, together with amazing filmmaker Claudia Medina, we will provably start working in the fall, as well as I am making a piece for the stage, which means very soon we will have to go from the paper to the studio.

This a sketch of an early stage set up of where it´s going. For some reason when I start conceptualizing I always start with the space, I got a thing for chairs, like most choreographers, tables and chairs in an empty space are soothing, it fills the space without cluttering.

What´s the piece about? The piece is called ex-dancer, like this blog, and the piece is a reflection on my life and my experiences in relationship to yours. An interactive and social performance where conversations and reflections will be the core of the story.

Just like in social conversations, we will share our stories and we will try to leave with something we´´ve learned from each other. Now those who know my work, you are aware that interactions are something natural in my performances, I don´t confront the performance and I use interactions that offer the option to the audience to participate, without ever confronting them, but hopefully, you will come and dance with me if you come to the show.

Rehearsals will begin this summer, soon, and of course, you will be able to follow the entire process through this blog.

Spectacular, mind blowing integration of projection into a choreography by chunky move, even though the dance is not my cup of tea, the way the projections shadows the dancers and creates this ghost like feeling is something I have never seen before.
